What do we do?
The Sacramento Extra Life guild focuses on fundraising, recruitment and community engagement through online events, in-person events, streaming, and peer to peer conversations!
How can I help?
Guild members help by volunteering at conventions, running in person gaming events (game days at your house, charity nights at sporting events, etc), fundraising streams, attending monthly meetings and helping plan events. Click Here for more information!

What is Extra Life?
Extra Life is a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN). The Extra Life community fundraises year-round to Change Kids’ Health to Change the Future. Donations go to local member hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services.
Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $110 million USD to Change Kids' Health to Change the Future. Right now, children's hospitals need YOUR support.
How are the Donations used?
Its important to know that 100% of Extra Life funds raised are made available to the hospital. These funds are undesignated and can be used how the hospital needs them the most. Very often funds raised through Extra Life are used for very specific projects, like in 2020 when all the play areas were forced to close, funds were used to purchase PS4s and create mobile gaming units for multiple locations throughout the hospital. This might seem trivial, but providing gaming units like these can go a long way to improving the mental health of kids, their siblings, and providing normal family experiences despite their circumstances.

How is Sacramento Extra Life related to Extra-Life.org?
Sacramento Extra Life is a Guild under the larger, National Extra Life organization. We are a community of volunteers who come together to collaborate, socialize, and achieve common fundraising goals for UC Davis Children's Hospital. As a Guild, we operate within this larger, National Organization, but we also communicate and partner directly with our local hospital, UC Davis Children's Hospital.
